Agnes joins at an important time as we continue to strengthen our focus on environmental, social and governance priorities across the organisation.

A collaborative approach

Working with teams throughout the business, Agnes will help shape and implement practical sustainability initiatives, strengthen ESG reporting and support the development of governance frameworks.

Her role will help ensure sustainability and ESG considerations are embedded in everyday decision-making, supporting responsible progress across the wider group.

Be ready for game-changing regulations

Under the ‘Green Deal’, the EU has introduced a series of new regulations designed to promote sustainability within the European single market and beyond. The transition towards a circular, climate-neutral economy is therefore becoming a key challenge for all businesses.

With the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), a new era has begun for the packaging industry in the EU. Based on the principle “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, packaging must be designed with sustainability in mind.  By 2030, all packaging products must be recyclable, and all packaging waste managed under the “Extend Producer Responsibility” scheme.

This offers not only the opportunity to promote our products as a key element of recyclable PPWR-ready packaging, but it is also a challenge to reduce our own transport packaging along the supply chain and manage packaging waste responsibly.
